Belle Arrivée
A black Citroën DS crossing a Paris bridge at sunrise

Arrive in Paris. Enter a legend.

A chauffeur meets you at Charles de Gaulle and drives you to your door in a classic French automobile. Your first hour in France, spent in a Citroën DS.

Paris Charles de Gaulle to anywhere in Île-de-France

From €295 per journey

An airport transfer takes you to Paris. This one starts your stay.

Most arrivals are an hour to get through: a queue, a grey saloon, a motorway. Belle Arrivée turns that hour into the first memory of the trip.

Met by name, in the arrivals hall
Your chauffeur waits where you come out, takes your luggage and walks you to the car. No kiosk, no app, no search for a pickup point.
A car France is proud of
Five models that shaped French motoring, restored and kept as they were built. You choose yours when you ask for a date.

Why the DS rises when it starts, why the 2CV leans in corners. Ask anything, or simply watch Paris arrive through the windscreen.
One price, shown before you ask
The price beside each car covers the car, the chauffeur and the journey from Charles de Gaulle to your address in Île-de-France.

The collection

Five French classics, each with its own character and its own limits. The smaller cars carry fewer people and less luggage, and we say so plainly.

Citroën DS Pallas

The goddess

The car that stopped the 1955 Paris Motor Show. It rides on oil and gas instead of springs, and nothing since has felt quite like it.

Shaped by the sculptor Flaminio Bertoni and engineered by André Lefèbvre, the DS took 12,000 orders on its first day. The Pallas is its most richly finished version.

Good to know

  • The most comfortable car in the collection, and the quietest at speed.
  • A deep, unobstructed boot: the spare wheel lives under the bonnet.
  • As built: no air conditioning, and seat belts vary from car to car. Children under three can only travel in a car with fitted belts.

From the arrivals hall to your door

Charles de Gaulle is about 25 km from the centre of Paris. By road that is usually 35 to 60 minutes, longer at rush hour.

  1. A black Citroën DS waiting at an airport kerbside at dawn, boot open

You land at Charles de Gaulle

We follow your flight number, so an early or late landing changes nothing for you.

  2. A chauffeur in a navy suit waiting in an airport arrivals hall

    Your chauffeur welcomes you

In the arrivals hall, with your name. Your luggage is carried and loaded for you.

  3. View from the back seat of a classic car driving along a Paris boulevard

    Paris comes into view

Settle into the seat. The suburbs give way to boulevards, and the city arrives at the pace of another era.

  4. A black Citroën Traction Avant arriving on the gravel drive of a château

    You arrive at your address

A hotel on the Right Bank, an apartment in the Marais, a château near Versailles: any address in Île-de-France.

Car

Which car would you like?

France built cars the way it builds everything it loves: differently.

A gloved hand resting on the chrome headlamp of a black Citroën Traction Avant

A suspension filled with oil and gas. A people's car designed around a basket of eggs. A saloon drawn in Turin and proven on African rally stages. For half a century French engineers ignored convention, and the results became part of the country's landscape.

Belle Arrivée is being created to put those cars back where they belong: on the road into Paris, carrying people who are seeing the city for the first time, or the fiftieth.

We are preparing a small collection and a private launch. If you would like to be among the first to ride, tell us when you are arriving.

Questions

Can I book a journey today?

Not yet. Belle Arrivée is in a private pre-launch phase. You can send an availability request, which tells us when and how you would like to travel, but we cannot confirm reservations or take payment for now. If you join the priority-access list, we will write to you when reservations open.

Where does the chauffeur meet me?

In the arrivals hall of your terminal at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), holding a sign with your name. We ask for your flight number so that the meeting time can follow your actual landing.

Where can you take me?

To any hotel or address in Île-de-France: Paris (75), Hauts-de-Seine (92), Seine-Saint-Denis (93), Val-de-Marne (94), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), Essonne (91) and Val-d'Oise (95). That includes Versailles, Disneyland Paris and Fontainebleau.

How many people can travel?

Up to three guests in the DS, the Traction Avant and the Peugeot 404, and two in the 2CV and the Renault 4CV. These cars were built with four or five seats including the driver's, and we keep to a number that stays comfortable with luggage aboard.

How much luggage fits?

The DS and the 404 take two large suitcases and two cabin bags. The Traction Avant takes one large suitcase and two cabin bags. The 2CV takes one large suitcase and one cabin bag, and the 4CV cabin bags only. These are careful estimates for classic boots, and each will be confirmed for the individual car before reservations open. For larger parties or more luggage, tell us in your request.

Are the cars comfortable? Is there air conditioning?

They are kept as they were built, so there is no air conditioning, and cabin noise is higher than in a modern car, especially in the 2CV and 4CV. Seat belts vary by car and year. Children under three can only travel in a car with fitted belts and a suitable seat, so please mention children in your request.

What does the price include?

The price shown beside each car is per journey, not per person, and covers the car, the chauffeur and the drive from CDG to your address in Île-de-France. Prices are indicative while we prepare the launch and may change before reservations open. The price you saw is recorded with your request.

Are the photographs of your actual cars?

No. The images on this site are illustrations created to show the experience we are preparing. They are not photographs of an operating fleet.

What happens to the details I send?

They are stored securely, used only to answer your request, and deleted after twelve months at most. We do not send marketing unless you ask us to. You can have your details removed at any time by writing to us.
